Pair Vintage Folk Art Hammered Textured Wood Candlesticks Hand Painted Figures For Sale

A distinctive pair of vintage wooden candlesticks combining architectural form, richly textured surfaces and colorful hand-painted decoration.

Tall square columns rise from broad, sloping square bases to flared capitals with concave sides. The densely worked surface creates a striking hammered-metal effect in lightweight wood, with warm brown highlights against darker recesses. The texture extends across the columns, capitals and bases, including the undersides.

Each candlestick features a figure in a flowing red dress and broad-brimmed hat, accompanied by small flowers. Green trailing stems and elongated golden-yellow botanical motifs decorate the shafts, while yellow floral sprays and sweeping red arcs enliven the bases. Gold-colored tops frame the recessed circular candle sockets.

Small variations in the painted details and surface texture give the pair individual character while maintaining a coordinated design. Their strong silhouettes and vivid decoration make them compelling display pieces for a mantel, console or collection of painted folk art.
