Up for your consideration is a stunning, beautifully matched pair of authentic antique Victorian Bristol Glass vases, dating to the late 19th century.

Crafted from rare "clam broth" / "fireglow" glass, these vases feature a gorgeous, semi-translucent cocoa-brown coloration. When held up to strong direct light, they exhibit the highly sought-after, fiery orange-red glow characteristic of true Victorian fireglow glass.

Each vase is meticulously hand-painted with raised enamel floral motifs featuring vibrant pink wild roses, delicate blue forget-me-nots, berries, and a small whimsical insect (butterfly/bee) hovering on the side. The artwork is enhanced with delicate gold gilt highlights along the leaves and stems.

Because they are authentic antique hand-blown glass, the undersides of the bases feature original, rough snapped pontil scars from production.

Both vases are in excellent antique condition. The hand-painted enamel and gold gilt work remain exceptionally crisp, vivid, and intact with virtually no paint loss or rubbing. The glass bodies are free of chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The bottoms have standard rough manufacturing pontil scars as expected for hand-blown glass of this era, with very minor age-expected flea bites/roughness strictly confined inside the recessed pontil scars.
