A pair of beautiful small oil lamps that were utilized on steam trains in the mid to late 1800's. They were manufactured by Peters & Allen and still show their maker's mark of a crowned bird with an "S" on its chest. The glass funnels appear to be original 1800's glass as well and have a maker's stamp of Cristal de Roche along with the company's tradition Eagle perched on a globe.
Both the brass lamps and the glass funnels are in great shape and appear to have no repairs nor restorations. They appeart to have original cancas wick but I don't know that for sure. They haven't been polished in 30+ years but still own a real nice patina.
The lamp itself stands at 170mm whiloe the glass chimney stands 200mm. when tofether they are around 14" more or less. I can provide an exact measurement if needed.
