PRISTINE Cybis Goldilocks Panda Bear Porcelain Figurine 1973-75 Retired 6.25\" For Sale

Beautiful vintage Cybis Porcelain “Goldilocks and Panda ‘Bear’” figurine, design #471, featuring Goldilocks gently guiding a charming black-and-white panda wearing a warm red-orange bow.

This wonderful sculpture was introduced by Cybis in 1973 and retired in 1975, giving it a relatively brief production period. Rather than portraying the traditional three bears, Cybis gave the Goldilocks story a playful twist by depicting the bears as pandas. This Goldilocks figure was sold as its own complete sculpture, while a separate two-panda companion piece called “Panda ‘Bears’” could be purchased to create the full grouping.

The figurine has the soft matte/bisque porcelain finish associated with Cybis, with delicate hand-painted details throughout. Goldilocks wears a flowing cream dress accented with pale yellow ruffles, while her long blonde hair falls into a sculpted ponytail. The panda has wonderfully textured black-and-white detailing and a contrasting bow.

The underside is hand marked “Cybis” with the copyright symbol, as shown in the photos.

Condition:
Pristine vintage condition. I could not locate any chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, or other damage. The delicate fingers, hair, panda ears and limbs, and other molded details all appear intact. The matte porcelain surfaces and painted details are exceptionally well preserved.
