Original WWII-era Puget Sound Navy Yard blueprint dated May 15, 1943, documenting furniture and work-station construction for the Navy Yard’s Copper Shop during the height of World War II.
The title block identifies:
- Puget Sound Navy Yard – Industrial Department
- Plan No. X56046 ALT
- Plant – Furniture for Copper Shop
- Date: 5/15/43
The sheet includes detailed period engineering drawings for shop furniture including file cabinets, shop-order cabinets, a leadingman’s table and desk, card cabinet, drawer construction details, material lists, dimensions, and production notes.
This is a particularly interesting piece of wartime industrial history from the Puget Sound Navy Yard in Bremerton, Washington, one of the most important U.S. naval shipbuilding and repair facilities on the Pacific Coast during WWII.
The blueprint appears to be an original period working document rather than a modern decorative reproduction. It retains its original deep-blue cyanotype appearance and shows extensive folding and handling consistent with shop or engineering-office use.
Condition:
Vintage used condition with numerous original fold lines, creasing, edge wear, small marks, and handling wear. Some areas have heavier creasing and age-related discoloration visible on the reverse. No attempt has been made to flatten, clean, restore, or repair the document. Please review all photographs closely for condition and details.
An excellent piece for collectors of:
- WWII militaria
- U.S. Navy history
- Puget Sound / Bremerton history
- Naval shipyard memorabilia
- Industrial design and engineering
- Architectural and technical blueprints
- Pacific Northwest history
A scarce surviving piece of documentation showing the behind-the-scenes industrial infrastructure that supported the U.S. Navy during World War II.
You will receive the exact original blueprint shown in the photographs.
