Original World War I Two-Star Family Service Banner, circa 1917–1919.
This authentic WWI-era banner was produced for home display to signify two family members actively serving in the United States Armed Forces during World War I. Each blue star represents one child in service, in accordance with the Family (Son-in-Service) Flag tradition recognized in the United States during the First World War.
