Up for sale is a original World War II German battlefield or souvenir trench art piece, constructed from the cut-down base of an 8.8 cm artillery shell casing. The outer rim has been hand-formed with classic scalloped rests, and a central cone insert has been fitted into the primer pocket to function as a desk ashtray or catchall.
