Original WW2 345th Bombardment Group "Air Apaches" Pilots Group-Jacket, Wings + For Sale

Nice collection of items that belong to Richard "Dick" Shaffer who was with the 354th Bombardment Group during World War II. I acquired these items directly from his son and includes all the items I will mention and those pictured in the photographs with the exception of the mannequin. Includes his B – 10 flight jacket in good overall condition with somewhere to the cuffs and a spot on the interior. The collar and waist elastic are in good shape, his flight cap with loose headphones, flight goggles with the soft cloth case, his two dog tags, cloth chart of Hakodate, Japan, two paper maps of various parts of Japan, small commemorative book detailing the squadrons role in escorting Japanese emissaries to the capitulation in August 1945, a number of small photographs of aircraft outside his squadron to include nose art from these planes, five larger 5 x 6 black-and-white photographs taken from his plane, several of which include attacks on Japanese shipping with those ships sinking. His officer hat device, Air Apache patch, his Amcraft pilot wings and other sundry insignia. Also a number of books from his stateside postings, including a larger photograph of him on a trainer aircraft. Also includes his OD3 musette bag and a thick stack of his military service paperwork.
