Original Hand-Painted Animation Production Cel Group — Scene 202 (c. Late 1980s–Mid 1990s)
This listing includes a complete layered animation cel setup consisting of six original hand-painted production cels used in traditional cel animation.
All cels are marked with matching production identifiers (“202”), indicating they were photographed together as part of the same scene. The group features multiple fish character layers along with a large underwater background/effects cel, demonstrating the multi-layer process used in pre-digital television animation.
Each cel is painted on the reverse of transparent acetate and includes studio registration slots and handwritten production markings typical of working studio materials.

Condition:
The character cels remain in good vintage condition with expected age-related wear. The background cel has two edge tears, one of which lightly enters the very bottom edge of the painted area. This does not affect the main artwork and is reflected in pricing.
Shipping:
- Each cel will be interleaved with acid-free archival tissue and protected in archival sleeves. The group will be shipped flat between rigid boards, double-boxed, and fully insured to prevent bending or paint damage during transit.
- No tape or adhesives will contact the artwork.
