Original 1960s CDC Yellow Fever Mosquito Poster Vintage Aedes Aegypti Framed For Sale

A rare, authentic mid-century medical illustration poster issued by the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) and the Communicable Disease Center (now the CDC).

This historic print originated from the highly aggressive federal "Aedes aegypti Eradication Branch" campaign launched in the 1960s to educate public health officials and clinics across the American South.

Originally issued to my dad while he was an army doctor stationed at Fort Sam in Texas in 1969-1971. It has been stored in this frame, attached by 1/2” adhesive spots in the four corners to a glossy paper backing. The frame is a touch too tall for the poster, and you can see small white spaces above and below the flyer.
