1930\'s Miller Ivanhoe Combination 4-Socket Reflectors
Sold Seperately
These stunning Miller Ivanhoe Cluster Lights, Circa 1930\'s, are looking for a second career. Rescued prior to the demolishing of an old brick building along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin. The existence of these lights is new to me, I had never seen nor heard of them. If I hadn\'t found them in one of my many old catalogs, they would still be a mystery. I LOVE my job! Multiple socket cluster lights are very uncommon, finding a large group intact is a minor miracle. Note the light escaping through the ventilation slots on top, it can make a beautiful pattern on the ceiling. Up to 30 available.Sold Seperately
You might be wondering why they have four sockets. The larger center socket would have held a mercury vapor bulb. Bulb types can cast different colors of light. Mercury and incandescent vary but mix well together to creat a very pleaseing light. The three bulbs around the outside are incandescent. Also, if the fixture loses power, the incandescent bulbs will restart immediately while the vapor bulb warms up to restart. All this can be read on the catalog page below. I have replaced the 3-outer sockets with new that are nearly identical. I reused the original inner socket as they are so clean and show very little use if any. I added an adapter so it can use standard medium base bulbs in all sockets. Feel free to use either incandescent or LED bulbs in all four sockets. The bulb shown in the center is an LED T10 bulb.
The diameter is a very large 22 inches. With a 6\" down-rod, the light is 22\" from the bottom of the shade to the ceiling, last picture above. I also have 3\", 8\" and 12\" pipes available for the asking. The hanger is an old Benjamin spring-loaded cushioned swivel that has been carefully refinished. The hanger will let the light hang plumb even if the ceiling or electric box is not level. It also helps protect the light from vibrations, bumps and bruises.
