This copper statue of Hanging Incense Burner is fixed with turquoise mosaic setting with a copper lid.
Incense burner or perfume burner is a vessel made for burning incense or perfume in some solid form. These vessels vary greatly in size, form, and material of construction, and have been in use since ancient times in many cultures, in both secular and religious contexts. Many designs use openwork to allow a flow of air.
In many cultures, burning incense has spiritual and religious connotations, and this influences the design and decoration of the censer. This is great burner to burn your favorite resin incense, powder incense, or cone incense. It offers a smooth temple like design with cuts to let the smoke out fill your surroundings.
The deep bowl of this urn-shaped incense burner is suitable for Tibetan stick, cone or powder incense, and is raised off the ground for protection against overheating and fire. A removable lid enables convenient access and easy cleaning, while carvings mask ventilation openings that enable the incense burner to be used covered or open.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE1. Partially fill a new incense burner with ash or sand.2. Light your favourite incense stick and place it horizontally on the bed of ash.3. A small quantity of loose or powder incense may also be sprinkled over the lit incense stick.4. Remove the ash build-up regularly to ensure the burning incense does not come into close proximity with the lid of the burner, thus preventing heat damage.
Always burn incense in moderate quantities to prevent overheating.
Do not handle the incense burner when hot.
