Small Bear Fetish Carrying a Turquoise Arrowhead on Back
Up for sale is a Native American (Zuni) small bear hand-carved figurine from stone carrying a turquoise arrowhead offering on his back. The bear also has turquoise eyes. The name of the artist is inscribed on the foot and looks like Wilford Cachini. This piece measures approx. 3/4\" high by 2\" long and weighs less than an ounce. The bear is highly revered as the guardian of the West. It represents strength, healing, intropspection, leadership, and maternal protecting. The turquoise piece secured to the bears back acts as a spritual offering to appease and honor the animal spirit, boosting its inherent power and providing good fortune or proteciton to the keeper. The stone used is usually marble, alabaster, seprentine, or pipestone. I believe this is possibly marble, but not sure.
