This is a nice original named submarine group to a Yeoman on the famous USS Silversides and he was on the boat during her extreme torpedoing after attacking a Japn convey and was also on the boat when the emergency appendectomy was successfully performed by the duty corpsman using home made instruments and all during the intense depth charge attack (made famous in the WWII movie with Cary Grant as the skipper). The group includes the medals shown and the sub combat pin both large and mini and a tiny set of dolphin that he added himself at some point.
