NEW Longaberger 1998 RETIRED Large 11\" Measuring Basket & Protector For Sale

Vintage Longaberger large 11-inch measuring basket with swinging handle, and plastic protector. Retired style originally designed by patriarch JW Longaberger features hardwood maple splints with a square bottom and round top. Measuring baskets came in various sizes for different purposes, such as feeding livestock or other chores. The basket is approximately 10 inches high with an 8-inh square bottom and 12\" diameter round top. The handle is sturdy and long enough to hang in a peg or hook and remain fairly level. With the plastic protector it can be used in the garden, household, garage...hold toys, gardening, cleaning or craft/sewing supplies, gather fruits from the orchard, storage; great size for a waste basket or use it as a bucket with the plastic protector or line with a towel and use for ice and beverages or as a punch bowl. Included with the basket is a decorative garter in the Rose Trellis pattern by Waverly, and a functional matching handle gripper with Velcro closure. The pattern is yellow striping with blue roses along green vines & leaves.The basket is in excellent condition with small felt rounds placed the bottom. The plastic protector, handle gripper & garter are in new condition.
