New old store stock from the old, defunct Milnot plant in Litchfield, Illinois, which closed its doors in 1990. Stock acquired from the Milnot Litchfield plant sale on November 10, 2018. Can openers were stored in an old box marked "Chili Man Chili Mix, Milnot Co., Litchfield, Ill. 62056."

Milnot has a long, glorious history, beginning operations in 1912 as The Litchfield Creamery Company. The Litchfield plant (the actual building – now demolished – and surrounding land sold at sale for $56,000 at the 11/10/18 sale) was built in 1916, with condensed milk being its main product. Their milk product, which proved to be an invaluable food source for the Allies during World War I, was christened "Milnut" in 1930 (later changed to Milnot in 1939), and the rest is history...
