This sculpture includes its matching Certificate of Casting, also numbered 136/1000. Michael A. Ricker signs the certificateand identifies the piece as part of the Museum Collection. The certificate documents a 1988 casting date, a total limited edition of 1,000 pieces, an original issue price of $175.00, and an appraised value at that time of $262.50.
The sculpture features excellent dimensional detail throughout the soldiers, uniforms, helmets, equipment, weapons, and terrain. The reflective green surface beneath the figures provides an unusual presentation and gives the piece its distinctive “Courage Reflected” appearance.
Condition:
Pre-owned vintage condition. The sculpture displays well overall. The figures show normal surface and finish variation consistent with age and the material. The reflective green platform has visible scratches/scuffs and signs of age/use. The wood base also shows normal minor age-related wear. The matching Certificate of Casting shows some age and handling wear.
