Up for sale is a flawless, investment-grade piece of 1980s Disneyana. Purchased new in 1988 at The Disney Store in Lake Buena Vista (Orlando), Florida, this iconic Tank style wristwatch has spent its entire life preserved in a dedicated watch display case. It is completely unworn and remains in top-tier, museum-quality collector condition.
Manufactured by Lorus under official contract for Disney, this timepiece is powered by a reliable, high-grade Japan Quartz movement. As a custom watch builder managing a private collection of over 200 timepieces, I meticulously serviced this watch last week with a fresh, premium lithium cell. It operates exactly as designed and is keeping perfect time.
Design and Dial Highlights:
The dial features the highly detailed, vibrant vintage scene from the classic 1939 Walt Disney cartoon short \"Society Dog Show.\" It beautifully depicts Mickey Mouse grooming Pluto next to a can of flea powder on the number 13 pedestal.
Condition Details:
• True New Old Stock (NOS) / Pristine Mint Condition.
• Absolutely zero wrist time with no creasing, cracking, or bending on the factory leather strap.
• The polished gold-tone case, crystal, and stainless steel case back are entirely free of scratches, scuffs, or storage wear.
• The original stitched brown leather strap retains its factory suppleness and tapers elegantly from 18 mm at the lugs to 14 mm at the buckle.
This is a true time capsule from the late 80s, perfect for discerning Disneyana collectors or vintage horology enthusiasts looking for an absolute pristine reference example. Please review the high-resolution photos and note the included video showing the seconds hand smoothly ticking away to verify the exact condition of this timepiece.
Pricing and Offers:
This timepiece is priced firmly as an investment-grade, collector-quality reference example. Lowball offers will be automatically declined. Serious inquiries and reasonable offers from dedicated Disneyana or horology collectors are always welcome.
Shipping and Security:
Due to the premium condition of this watch, it will be shipped with extreme care in a rigid crush-proof box to preserve its museum-grade condition during transit. It will be fully insured with tracking to ensure a safe delivery.
