Malachite green slag glass rabbit on a split rib base nest.It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches in height, 5 1/2 inches in length and is 4 1/4 inches wide.This is a vintage NOS (New Old Stock) piece.This piece is in the back row, left side, in the picture that shows 5 rabbits. The pieces in the back row are malachite green, the green one in front is what our supplier calls Dave\'s green, and the blue one is cobalt slag glass. Each slag glass piece is unique and you can see that the colors in them can vary quite a bit from one piece to another, even when they are the same basic colors.
She has no chips, cracks, or damage.
This is marked with the McKee mark but it was made by the, now defunct, Summit Glass company. These were made in the mid to late 1990s. We know they are Summit and know when they were made because our supplier purchased all of Summit\'s inventory when they closed and these have been in storage since then.
We have this piece in other colors without the McKee mark. We believe this mold was also used by Kemple at one time. The split rib base was also used by Westmoreland and is the same bowl as the one with our 5.5\" hen on nest, the resting pony bowl, and the robin on nest.
