MARVEL BRONZE AGE FIRST ISSUES LOT: 19 comics, 1968-1979, 18 of them #1s. Original printings from my father\'s collection, not reprints. Most copies are bright, glossy books (about FN/VF to VF).

The 19 books:

• Black Goliath #1 (1976), Shogun Warriors #1 (1979), Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #1 (1979, Doctor Octopus), What If #1 (1977, Spider-Man joins the Fantastic Four)
• Astonishing Tales #1 (1970, Ka-Zar and Dr. Doom), Amazing Adventures #1 (1970, Inhumans and Black Widow), Ka-Zar #1 (1970 Giant, Daredevil and X-Men), Human Torch #1 (1974)
• Son of Satan #1 and #2 (1975-76), Journey Into Mystery #1 (1972), Jungle Action #1 (1972), 2001: A Space Odyssey #1 (1976, Jack Kirby, newsstand)
• Tales of Asgard #1 (1968 Giant, Jack Kirby Thor stories) and Demon Hunter #1 (1975, published by Atlas/Seaboard, not Marvel)

Note: Tales of Asgard #1 is all reprint, and Ka-Zar #1, Jungle Action #1 and Human Torch #1 are mostly reprint material, as published.

PHOTOS: photos 01 and 02 show 17 of the books front and back. What If #1 and 2001 #1 were photographed separately: see photos 20-23. Photos 03-19 are each cover; photo 24 is the Tales of Asgard spine.

CONDITION. The flaws, first:

• Tales of Asgard #1 (1968) is the most worn copy: a small chip at the bottom of the spine (photo 24), plus edge and corner wear (about VG/FN).
• Normal light wear for the age on the rest: light spine stress on a few, a few softened corners, light toning on some back covers.
• Books were photographed in their bags; the light reflections are the bags, not the covers.

Strengths: most of the lot is bright and glossy, about FN/VF to VF, including Marvel Chillers, Marvel Feature, Red Sonja, Black Goliath, Shogun Warriors, the Spider-Man Annual and 2001. No tape or writing seen, and the back-cover coupons shown are intact. Please see all 24 photos.

SHIPPING: free. Books bagged and boarded and shipped in a box. Ships within 3 business days.
RETURNS: 30 days. Selling my father\'s collection; questions welcome.
