He was the leader of Air Force Special Operations Command and led 100 aircraft and nearly 12,000 men and women.  His forces led the rescue of pilot Scott O'Grady, as well as Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada under President Reagan. You can read about him here. The piece is humorous as it reveals Hobson's love of the F-14. As a matter of fact, the piece is called "Hobson's Aircraft Recognition Chart." It shows silhouettes of 16 different types of aircraft. All of them are simply called "Airbus," expect for the F-14. The piece is matted and framed under glass. It features well-wishes that are handwritten by five different friends - a few of them famous in their own right. Included are Tom Dowd, R.L. Myatt and more.
