I am celebrating more than 25 years of finding newhomes for such wonderful treasures on ! This PRISTINE 1930s witch face diecut decoration was made by Gibson Art Co. ofCincinnati, Ohio, and it is a RARE one! This is an ideal example of imagery used during the Golden Age of Hallowe'en –the 1920s and 1930s. She is super-scary looking, and not cutesy or whimsical atall like the decorations made in later years.Our witch wears her iconic pointed hat and wears an eerie smile as sheanticipates her ride on All Hallows Eve. This diecut measures 5 ¼” high X 5 ¼” wide. The exact condition is as follows: DEADMINT condition with no damage whatsoever – which is hard to believe after 90-somethingyears. The colors are bright and eye-catching, and the paper is crisp and likenew. Enthusiasts who are in search of pre-war décor in the very best condition willwant to add this to their collection. It would make an ideal addition to anycollection of authentic vintage and antique Halloween memorabilia, rare Gibsondiecuts, and hard-to-find holiday paper ephemera from the Golden Age ofHallowe'en – the 1920s and 1930s. With black cats loudly meowing,
And witches to be seen;
For ‘tis the night when bats careen,
And hoots the hooting owl,
While in the heavy shadows
The gray ghost slyly prowl.Happy Hallowe’en 2026!
