MARGARET DELAND - HANDWRITTEN & SIGNED INVITATION TO A "FLY PARTY" For Sale

A curious 2 page note handwritten and signed by Margaret Deland inviting a Mrs. Rogers to attend a "Fly Party" to be held at Mrs. Hurley's. The lettter is entirely written in Deland's handwriting and sigend by her. Deland was a popular novelist around the turn of the twentieth century. She was a social reformer who was very supportive of the cause of unwed mothers. Slight remnant of adhesive on blank side, still in very good condition.
