After WW2 M2 tripods were assembled and refitted with the best parts and re marked with the new m122 designation after going back through a re-arsenal process. This dataplate would be then mounted to the rear of the pintle area in between the four bolts after refit.
This is a new made replacement dataplate that is one of the most accurate reproductions that is available for the .30 Cal m122 Tripod Mount Browning 1919a4.
