ANTIQUE MOLDED PORCELAIN SPOONER VASE
Lovely antique molded porcelain vase measuring 3-5/8\" tall - opening is about 2-1/3\" wide. Featuring an elegant little shape, it is decorated with embossed and molded flowers up each side - I think they are Poppies and similar spring flowers. Hand painted with charming detail, top edge is pinched and scalloped - vase has a simple flat foot with a bit of a splay to the base.I believe this was designed as a spooner for holding spoons or similar utensils - dates to around the late 1800s and condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage. As shown, there is some paint wear - I\'ve been over the edge with my loop and find no chips - there may be a flea bite, but I couldn\'t find one. Just a sweet antique piece - porcelain is shiny and fine - I\'m guessing Germany in origin. Wonderful addition to any table, home, collection or display!
