Tuareg artisans are nomads from the Sahara Desert who use ancient and simple tools, using traditional tribal techniques and classic designs. Also called the “Tuareg Tribe” or “Blue People” because they wear beautiful indigo fabrics and this is evident in their leather work.
The engravings and lines inscribed on the coins can represent a journey and the desert, sand dunes, a river. The crosses are directional and represent the four corners of the desert.
