Lot of three original 1950s advertising memo calendars featuring colorful pin-up artwork signed by renowned illustrator Gil Elvgren.
All three were produced for Thompson Radio Supplies, Inc., formerly located at 182 E. Long Street in Columbus, Ohio. The company distributed television, radio, tube, and electronic supplies.
The lot includes:
- May 1957 — “Keep Your Eye on the Ball,” croquet-themed illustration
- August 1957 — “Daisies Are Telling,” woman seated among flowers
- July 1958 — “Something for Netting?” butterfly-net illustration
Each piece combines a calendar, advertising display, and attached memo pad. The reverse/interior advertises Thompson Radio Supplies and its electronic-equipment inventory.
These are original period advertising pieces—not modern reproductions. An appealing matched group for collectors of Gil Elvgren artwork, vintage pin-ups, Columbus, Ohio advertising, radio and television memorabilia, or mid-century ephemera.
