This vibrant linen-era postcard features a striking aerial view of Pershing Square in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, California, with the iconic Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel prominently displayed along the left side. The illustration captures the lush green park lawn surrounded by palm and shade trees, busy sidewalks, period automobiles, and the impressive skyline of mid-century downtown Los Angeles. Other visible landmarks include the Temple Baptist Church sign and the State Mutual building. Mountains are visible in the background, giving the scene a quintessential Southern California feel. Produced by Curt Teich of Chicago under their C.T. Art-Colortone process and distributed by Western Publishing & Novelty Co. of Los Angeles, this card bears the catalog number 2C-H1300, consistent with late 1930s production. The reverse text notes that Pershing Square was home to the world's largest underground garage at the time, accommodating over 2,000 cars across three floor levels — a fascinating historical detail about the park's infrastructure.
