This is an authentic Limoges Peint Main trinket box in the form of a standing bunny in striped purple overalls, holding a hand-painted “LAIT” (milk) carton and sporting a “got milk?” heart on his chest, with a little gray mouse perched on his shoulder. The figures are fully hand-painted with fine detail down to the bunny’s pink-lined ears and paws.
The box opens at the base, on a single hinged compartment at the bunny’s feet, revealing a playful hand-painted “got carrot” inscription inside. The Limoges signature, “Limoges-Imports, Peint Main, Limoges France, F.R,” is marked on the exterior underside of the piece, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
