Frank Lesliewas perhaps best known for his documentation of the Civil War in his Illustrated Weekly Newspaper that chronicled the war. The best of these illustrations were reissued in combined volumes and histories after thewar.Hesentartists to the battle fieldsto sketch the events, which were then brought back to his printing company where they were cleaned up and turned into illustrations.The print is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheetas seen in the first pic. There are illustrations or text on the reverse.Overall, avery nicely preserved print that would frame up well!
