League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1-6 Vol. 1 Complete Set 1999 Alan Moore NM/NM+:
$32.99

Here is the complete VOLUME 1 set , issue 1-6 of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", written byAlan Moore, with art by Kevin O'Neill, from 1999.Published under the America's Best imprint of DC Comics. This popular series, set in 19th century England, was the basis for the 2003 movie starring Sean Connery. These books are unread, direct from the distributor and stored untouched for 25 years. My best grade estimate would be around 9.4/9.6. This would be a great CGC set.
Additional Info:The League of Extraordinary GentlemenThe League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (LoEG) is a multi-genre, cross over comic book series (inspired by the 1960 British film The League of Gentlemen) co-created by writer Alan Moore and artist Kevin O'Neill which began in 1999. The comic spans four volumes, an original graphic novel, and a spin-off trilogy of graphic novellas. Volume I and Volume II (released as two six-issue limited series) and the graphic novel Black Dossier were published by the America's Best Comics imprint of DC Comics. After leaving the America's Best imprint, the series moved to Top Shelf and Knockabout Comics, which published Volume III: Century (released as three graphic novellas), the Nemo Trilogy (a spin-off of three graphic novellas centered on the character of Nemo), and Volume IV: The Tempest (originally released as a six-issue limited series). According to Moore, the concept behind the series was initially a "Justice League of Victorian England" but he quickly developed it as an opportunity to merge elements from numerous works of fiction into one world, in a matter akin to the shared fictional universes of Marvel and DC Comics.
Volume I books were used in an adapted feature film of the same name, released in 2003 starring Sean Connery in his last live-action role.
