Vintage Le Creuset enameled cast iron oval au gratin dish, size 36 (36 cm), white enamel inside and out. Made in France — raised cast marks on the base read LE CREUSET / MADE IN FRANCE with the diamond 36 size stamp (see underside photo). Open baker design; this model was never made with a lid.
Measures approx. 16.4 in handle to handle, about 14 in interior length, 10.6 in wide, 2 in deep — roughly 3 qt. Great for gratins, roasting vegetables, baked pasta, cobblers; oven and broiler safe, and works on all stovetops including induction.
CONDITION: The cooking surface is excellent — glossy white enamel with no chips, no cracks and no crazing; only a couple of faint hairline utensil marks visible in close-up. The exterior is glossy with three small cosmetic flaws, all shown in the photos: (1) a small enamel chip, about 3–4 mm, on the underside edge of one handle; (2) a small chip, about 2–3 mm, at the base edge ring; (3) a pinhead-size dot on the other handle neck. The chip spots expose bare iron — dry them after washing. The pan has been thoroughly cleaned and is ready to cook in.
