Large collection of Packard Motor Car Company literature and photos For Sale

Hi, Pat Foster here. I'm a long-time old-car writer for Hemmings, Automobile Quarterly, Collectible automobile etc. and also have written 35 books about cars. One was a history of Packard, for which I collected a large number of photos, ads, reports and literature, plus original sales brochure. I'm retiring and want to sell my collection of Packard stuff. Packard Literature Collection For Sale

I’m selling my collectionof Packard literature, press photos, ad images and annual reports from 1899 to1958. The collection includes:

1.Approx 280 factoryphotos and advertisements. Most of the photos are 8x10 B&W but there are severalin color, whenever the factory shot in color. The advertisements include colorimages clipped from Packard ads. The list below shows the photos and ad imagesby model years:

2.My Packardcollection also includes original corporate annual reports for fiscal years1930, 1937, 1948, 1952, and 1953, plus photocopied annual reports for 1940,1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1951, and 1952.

3.The collection includesa number of pertinent articles clipped from magazines or newspapers, plus five differentissues of ‘The Packard Cormorant’, each containing important historical information.

4.Also included are15 original sales brochures covering the following years:

1938- 2 different brochures, 1951 full-line brochure,1952full-line brochure, 1953 Packard brochure, 1953 Clipper brochure, 1954 prestigeClipper brochure, 1954 large format Packard and Clipper brochure, 1955 largeprestige brochure for Clipper and Packard, the prestige catalog for the 1955Clipper, a color brochure for the 1956 Packard Executive series, a small color brochurefor 1956 Packard, a small color brochure for 1956 Packard and Clipper, the prestigebrochure for 1956 Clipper, and a large 1957 Clipper brochure.

5.A complete 1955Packard and Clipper Press Release Kit with photos and product information, inthe original portfolio. So, well over 300 pieces in all. I'm interested only in selling the entire collection- I don't have time to sell individual pieces. The full collection price is $500 plus whatever the shipping cost comes to.
