Natural mineral specimen in display condition. The opening is rough-sawn. One interior section appears to have lost part of its quartz/chalcedony covering, exposing rust-colored host matrix beneath. Natural fractures, irregular edges, matrix loss and mineral staining are present. Interior druzy crystals are delicate.
Large cut geode half featuring pale-blue chalcedony banding surrounding a deep crystal-lined cavity.
The interior contains sparkling druzy quartz and rounded botryoidal formations in pale blue, gray, white and cream. One area has apparent crystal loss with the rust-colored underlying matrix exposed.
The exterior consists of rough gray and mauve-brown host rock with natural fracture lines. The opening has been cut. Exact mineral composition and collecting locality have not been professionally verified.
