Large Beautiful Cummingtonite Specimen Hualapai Mts Mohave County AZ -K:
$40.00
A beautiful large specimen of Cummingtonite that I collected at an old copper, zinc, silver, pyrite mine in the Hualapai Mountains of Arizona. It has nice areas of the mineral’s crystal “feathering”. The specimen contains visible almandine garnets and possibly galena or any of the above mentioned minerals. It measures about 4.5 x2" and weighs about 16 oz. This mineral was verified by one of my buyers who tested it with infrared spectroscopy. Here is his response:
“Infrared spectroscopy confirms this material contains 3 minerals. The black matrix is cordierite. The fans are Cummingtonite. There are also red blobs of almandine garnet. The Cummingtonite fans and almandine blobs are pure mineral inclusions, so I got my graph of Cummingtonite”
