Gorgeous extra large early-20th-century oval portrait frame with convex bubble glass and ornate floral scrollwork. Includes a beautiful sepia-toned photograph of a young child.
Likely circa 1900–1930, with Rococo Revival decoration. Brass tone construction with a fitted metal backing, retaining tabs, and hanging wire.
Approximate overall dimensions: 26 inches tall × 15 inches wide, weighing over four pounds.
The frame presents beautifully while showing its antique age. One side ornament has a previous repair while the other side presents as slightly bent back. The uppermost curl has a small partial fracture but remains attached. There is also one small chip in the glass near the edge and some occasional scratches to the glass. Finish wear on both the front and reverse. These issues are ones that become apparent when looking for them, they are not immediately noticeable, and the piece is striking in presentation.

Local pickup available. The frame itself is over two feet long, and will be much larger once securely wrapped, so shipping may significant. Please review the shipping options to find the most economical for your location.
