Cast Brass Bell with Cast Iron or steel Handle & Ringer. It is embossed:1878 Saignelegier ~ CHIANTEL FONDEUR. Bell has a sharp, even, long lasting sound. It measures 4 7/8\" across base and is about 4 1/2\" high including handle and weighs over 2 pounds!!! This is a LARGE size for this brand of bell (majority of them are smaller).
