Large 19th Century Mother Of Pearl Custom Tobacco Pipe Tamper With Patina:
$48.50
A wonderfully large and handsome bit of 19th century cutlery was paired with modern tamp head hardware to make this unique smoking tool.
A white abalone has to be more than fifty years old for its shell to grow this substantial....this lustrous.
Over-harvested to near extinction in the early 20th century, this abalone tamper would be impossible to create in our modern world.
A sad story to accompany a beautiful pipe accessory.
