Lady Anne Gordon Porcelain Parrot Bird Sculpture – Signed AG & Dated 1991Wonderful hand-modelled and hand-painted porcelain parrot by British ceramic artist Lady Anne Gordon (1924–2007).The bird is modeled perched on a naturalistic leafy branch, with a warm yellow body, deep burgundy beak and beautifully painted green, pink, purple and blue plumage. The sculptural feathers and expressive modeling are characteristic of Gordon’s distinctive bird figures.The underside bears Gordon’s painted AG monogram and is dated “91,” for 1991.Condition: This piece has damage, including chips/losses to the projecting wing feathers and tail feathers, with exposed white porcelain visible. There may be additional minor wear consistent with age. Please review all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.
