A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...Lynda Barry attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where she had decided that she would become a professional poet with a proclivity for creating prose.
However, for one of her class assignments, she drew a one-panel color \"comic\" of a stage with two elongated shoes peaking out from behind a red curtain; similar to what you might find from Gary Larson, but uniquely Lynda Barry.
One of her boyfriends (she had many) suggested that she forgo the poetry/prose tract and, instead, to \"just draw comics!\", as it was clear -- from that one piece alone -- that she had a gift: it just made you laugh.
Was this the spark that launched everything that followed? Who knows.
Nevertheless, this JONI MITCHELLLp belonged to Lynda (she signed her name inside the gatefold) AND one page of LYNDA BARRY\'s HAND-WRITTEN ORIGINAL PROSE assumed to be one-of-a-kind.
Want more?? Lynda\'s copy ofJoni Mitchell\'s debut album Song to a Seagull has the following runouts:
Side A: RS-6293 - A 30753 - 1C SXSide B: * 1 30754 RS 6293 B - 1AA
I couldn\'t find an exact match for these anywhere, but it\'s definitely aSanta Maria pressing andCustomatrix mastering...beyond that your guess is as good as mine as these runouts are apparently unique as well.
Please review photos: handwritten prose on paper that feels like parchment, LYNDA BARRY\'s signed Joni Mitchel LP as shown. The LP Sleeve is in VG+ condition with the vinyl itself being VERY close to NM.
