Here I have an amazing fossil crab from the Island of Java in Indonesia. The species is Charybdis, it dates to the Miocene and is between 5 to 23 million years old. It was dug in Sukabumi regency, Java, Indonesia. These Crabs are the best value fossil crabs available for there size and their detail anywhere! In fossil shops these would be marked up at double my listed prices.
This crab measures approx 10.5cm/ 105mm at it\'s widest point and weighs approx 253 grams! This crab has some great details and is one of the few fossilised with an open claw! good colour and some nice leg presivation.
