Hattie Haggle, the richest woman in New York City was ailing, and she decided that her relatives were only after her money, and she would cut them out. She decided to give the money to a random stranger. She had her nurse pick a name at random from an out of state directory, and, lo and behold, she chose Pansy Hunks (aka Mammy) Yokum. In this daily, titled \"The Informer\", Hattie gives instructions to her team of lawyers about how to revise her will. Her nurse eavesdrops, and plans to make some money by telling the greedy kin about her plan, which ends up causing all sorts of problems for the Yokum clan. Beautifully rendered characters by Capp, who was one of the greatest strip artists of the 20th century. This strip is reprinted at page 89 of Li\'l Abner Volume Two: Dailies 1936 (1994 Kitchen Sink Press) and on page 190 of Al Capp\'s Li\'l Abner: The Complete Dailies & Color Sundays Volume I: 1934-1935 (2010 IDW).
