Amber-Grey-Gold * Acrylic Kaigelu 316 Fountain Pen
This is a handsome pen in the Duofold style. Solid, well-made, and a bit hefty. The barrel and cap are of a resin/celluloid material with a great deal of depth.
The presentation of this pen is quite well-done from the solid and attractive box (arriving inside a slip case) to the pen itself. There is a small brochure inside, primarily in Chinese, explaining the operation of the pen. The labeling of the brochure is \'Kangaroo (Australia) Holdings Limited Develop\'. Grok tells me that this is not/was not an Australian entity. Kaigelu is a Chinese pen label affiliated with Hero/Lanxivi group.
The silver and black box is substantial and closes securely. Beneath the cushioned bottom is a tiny square card printed \'Shanghai Kai Ge Lu Stationery Co. Ltd.\'. There are two empty slots meant for cartridges.
Description: Duofold style with flat top and bottom. Cap top features a jewel of a gold kangaroo and wreath in resin. Gold tone clip, two cap bands, band above blind cap and on either end of section. Screw cap; black section. The converter is etched \'KAIGELU\'. The Medium nib is a handsome \'gold & silver\' nib with the kangaroo. The nibs in these pens are interchangeable and there are many in different strokes andcoloration.
Note: While the pen can be posted, it is precarious and its weigh makes it a little top-heavy.
