KA-BAR 1944 Vintage Hunting Fixed Blade Knife, Bone Handle, Sheath For Sale

This is a vintage KA-BAR fixed blade hunting knife with its original KA-BAR leather sheath. The blade is stamped "KA-BAR U.S.A." near the guard. The knife has a cream-colored handle with finger grooves, stacked brown, tan, and black spacers at both ends, a brass guard, and an aluminum pommel held with a pin. It measures about 6 7/8 inches overall with a blade of about 3 1/2 inches. The brown leather sheath is stamped "KA-BAR" on the front and has a snap retaining strap and a belt loop on the back. The name "David Sands" is etched on the back of the sheath. The knife shows age and use, including patina, staining, and spotting on the blade, green verdigris on the brass guard, fine crazing, scratches, and dark spotting on the handle, and wear and grime on the pommel. The sheath has cracks and splits in the leather on the front, scuffs and worn spots, verdigris around the snap, and heavy wear with surface loss on the retaining strap.
