HANDMADE SCAGEL STYLE BUFFALO SKINNER KNIFE, c. 1979-PRESENT, 11” KNIFE, 6” saber and hollow ground upswept blade, with bright mirror polish, 3/16” stock, with deep swedge line across the blade next to the spine. Oval nickel silver guard, marked in block letters “GRECO.” The handle is attractive, with leather washer and metal spacers, with single pin stag handle, dark brown and reddish. There is a crack on each side of the handle, not threatening, appearing to be natural marks. Jimmy Lile protégé who became a highly accomplished knifemaker in his own right.
