1975 JIMMY DOOLITTLE BIRTHDAY DINNER PROGRAM
Original program from a December 5, 1975 dinner celebrating the birthday of Gen. “Jimmy” H. Doolittle at the Masquers Club in Hollywood, organized by the Gen. “Jimmy” H. Doolittle Chapter of the Air Force Association.
The cover bears a signature appearing to be J. H. Doolittle, written above the printed name “Jimmy.”
Inside are additional signatures and inscriptions, including Cesar Romero, Sybil Brand, and Rosina Daugherty, along with several others.
Signatures have not been professionally authenticated.
1923 MCCOOK FIELD AVIATION PHOTOGRAPH
Vintage aviation photograph with a handwritten notation on the reverse that reads:
“My first airplane flight on the morning of June 2nd - 1923 at McCook Field, Dayton, Ohio. Lt. James Doolittle, pilot. Vought plane.”
The photograph shows an early biplane with two people standing beside it.
Together, these two pieces provide an unusual connection to Jimmy Doolittle at two very different points in aviation history, more than 50 years apart.
