Mounting & Fittings Tsuka (Handle): Hardwood core wrapped in synthetic ray skin (samegawa) and black silk ito, featuring a traditional diamond wrap pattern with red accents visible beneath the braiding. It is accented with metal menuki depicting traditional motifs. Tsuba (Guard): Features an elaborate relief motif crafted from polished alloy, depicting a samurai scene with detailed engravings. The seppa and habaki are made of copper, complementing the tsuba’s rich red finish. Saya (Scabbard): Made of solid hardwood with a hand-carved black-and-red lacquer finish, showcasing a textured, cracked pattern, it is paired with a matching black sageo cord for a bold, cohesive look.

• BO-HI (blood groove), blade without HI is stronger for cutting, blade with HI is lighter for practice.
• All blades are regular sharp,please contact us when you need a blunt or a razor sharp blade.(It cost extra 10usd for razor sharpening and takes more time to finish)
• A Wakizashi and a Tanto can be customized to match this katana.

• Engravings on the blade toward the handle,adjacent to tsuba. Some other locations are also avaliable for engraving.

• It takes 1-2 days more for laser engraving while 3-4 days more for etch engraving and Saya hand engravings.
