Japanese Hand Plane, Cut-down/Scrub Plane, Signed, Kanna, Restored & Set Up For Sale

The dai/body was lapped, trued, corrected and coated with 2 coats of bowling alley wax. The dai sole was restored and relieved in the traditional Japanese method. The dai mouth was corrected for a proper blade fit. The blade back was lapped flat and the cutting edge was sharpened to 6000 grit. The chip breaker was corrected and sharpened to the 60/20 traditional edge. Both were coated with traditional camellia oil to prevent rust. The Japanese name for this plane is Herashi-kanna.
