Jack Kerouac's Personal Vintage ca.1968 glossy 11 x 8.5 inch Silver Gelatin Contact Sheet Photograph by Christopher Knight, Featuring 15 images of Kerouac in what seems to be mid story. Dressed in a flannel shirt and seated. Reverse watermark "A Kodak Paper" (this watermark was used from 1968-1973 so the print is of the period and during his lifetime). Annotated in green ink, "Photographs by Christopher Knight, 2/68."
Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by John Shen-Sampas, the executor of the estate of Jack Kerouac; Shen-Sampas notes that "aside from perhaps one of the individual photographs, we were not able to locate the others as being published."
Condition. Good/Good Plus. Moderate handling wear and edge wear. Small closed tear to left side as seen in photos. Multiple small handling creases as seen in photos. Corners show some wear and creasing. Some micro craquelure in a couple areas as seen in photos again most likely due to handling over the years which includes handling by Kerouac himself. Rear is quite clean aside from green pen. Overall there's a few small issues but they don't affect the images. Extremely rare
