JARU of CALIFORNIA Brutalist Carved Wooden Figural Icon Sculpture Wall Art 1960s For Sale

For sale is a very cool vintage 1960\'s era mid century modern wall art sculpture figural icon. This great vintage decorator piece is made by Jaru of California. This piece has the original manufacturer tag on it, it is model VK-8. This great designer piece is a carved wood figural Icon that looks to be of African design, or some other culture, Im not sure. The piece is mounted on a large brass backing. Im not sure if the sculpture itself is teak or some other type of wood. The brass backer measures 35 inches tall by 7 inches wide by about 5/16 of an inch deep. The wood icon measures 33 1/2 inches tall by about 2 3/4 inches at the widest point which is on the lower section that looks like a spear head. It is mounted on 2 posts that hold it out about 7/8 of an inch. The brass backer does show some rubs, some scratches, and other use/age wear, the wood icon the same, not too bad by any means, just some age character. Im sure some nice polishing would make it really pop. There is one wall hanging loop on the top, I think there may have been another on the bottom screw but its gone, I dont think finding one would be difficult though.
